Rosie is a recent graduate from the University of Nottingham after studying for her Masters in Mechanical Engineering.
During her time at Nottingham she joined the university skydiving club and has completed over 300 descents. Her passion for the sport inspired her final year project when she got in contact with Ben White, an experienced paraplegic skydiver. She decided to focus her studies around developing an articulated brace for Ben suitable for flying in an indoor skydiving wind tunnel.
With the help of Shane Nickson from Trulife and the materials provided by TenCate, manufacture of a prototype brace was possible. On completion of the project Rosie and Ben entered the Bodyflight World Challenge competition in April with two other team mates. They competed in the Rookie category and amazingly took 3rd place while competing only against able bodied skydivers.
